At our NY homestay, our goal is to provide safe and affordable accommodations for our visitors. Regardless of what brings you to NYC – internships, language courses, university studies for several months or vacations for a few weeks - we are happy to help and make you feel at home away from yours.
Arrivals
We provide pickups from Newark Airport on weekdays, preferably between 4PM and 6PM. (Additional charge applies.) Upon arrival at the house we will get you oriented to our home and neighborhood.
Meals
Breakfast is available for an additional charge of $15 per week. Depending on the day, it consists of different kinds of breads, English muffins, croissants, jams, various cheeses, peanut butter, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, etc.
However, most of our guests prefer paying less and choosing the no meal option since often they eat at school/work or go out. You will have access to a full kitchen so you can prepare meals at your convenience.
Family nights
Every few weeks we have our "family night". It's an after-dinner get together when we spend quality time as a big international family. This is our designated time when we can all get to know each other a little better, have discussions, and share a few laughs. We usually play grown-up board games like Monopoly, Bingo, etc, do a thousand piece puzzles, or watch a movie, all the while snacking on delicious foods and drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows. We also have holiday related activities like decorating eggs for Easter, carving pumpkins for Halloween or building a gingerbread house for Christmas! Every student is more than welcome, however not required to participate in any family nights or events.
Your roommates
Every student comes to us for a reason so your roommates will be girls (ages 17 to 30) who come to New York City to study at language courses, attend universities or complete NYC internships. This is also a popular place to visit, so sometimes during the summer and during holidays we have students coming over on vacation. Having roommates is a great way to improve language skills and it comes in handy when you need a friend in a new city!
Your Safety
Stealing or any other behavior that disrupts a peaceful stay of other students is strictly prohibited and is a reason for instant termination of your residence at our NY homestay. Also, for security reasons, no outside guests are allowed to visit the house.
